I shall write in blue
It is a color
Yet not the only hue
I have in my mind
An idea or two
Of which this color matches
So I shall write in blue

I have a friend getting married
Her fiancee I haven’t met
To this man she shall beget
Her future is bright
So I must sit back and let
Her bask in happiness

I have a sister getting married
Her fiancee I’ve barely met
To him I wish the best of luck
Knowing my sister she chose wisely but
By the life of me I can’t describe
A person who could up with her put
For the rest of their life
I wouldn’t be surprised if the wedding went capput

I have a friend getting married
To this man she’ll lend her hand
On that day a ring will come back
On her finger
I knew her so well so long ago
We even briefly questioned if we’d be
Good parents together
I’d say today we could’ve made
The most of any situation
But I’m so happy she’s replaced
Me with her current man

I have a friend who’s destined to be married
To a wonderful woman that he’s been dating
They share their lives as if their bound
Together already, yet not yet mating
Someday their futures will fit
Together like a puzzle
But as a puzzle player knows
Sometimes it’s easier to make it
Complete after a break is taken
And to the puzzle the player later returns

I have a friend who’ll never be married
His aspirations too high
The woman not to be found
He dreams of carrying out the dreams
In his mind
And a woman can hardly jump to a
Place where aspirations are so high
Someday into his life will wander
This woman who’ll jump like no other
My only hope is he’ll recognize
This flesh and bones figment of his imagination

I have a brother who may someday be married
When he runs out of time for all this courting
He’ll realize the value of a companion
Sure he knows it now
But he also feels like a wild stallion
If he ever finds a woman to his liking
She won’t look like a cow
If she did she wouldn’t last through the dating

I may never be married
My dream woman may never exist
If she does all the better
But I’d probably always think
I could find a way
To avoid marriage and just
Live with her forever
