I don’t take tests particularly well
My grades end up high by hard work and preparation
My ability to make educated guesses is weak
I’ve earned A’s, 100%’s, perfect scores, passing grades
In standardized testing I’ve often struggled

Above average, yes
Average, yes
Worked for, yes
Because I read slowly
Because I’m dyslexic
Am I
Do I have dyslexia?
Sometimes
I feel like I do, sometimes
I’d like to know, sometimes
The lack of knowing may hurt me, sometimes
I’d like to know, sometimes

Sometimes it seems like I’m just like anyone else
Then I kick back, pick up a book, and stare at a page for minutes
Is it white with black letters?
For me it was often white completely
I’d focus on just the background
Not by choice, sometimes
I’d like to know
